During treatment, it may be difficult to even consider adopting healthier
habits, but it is well worth whatever effort you can manage.  Anything you do
to promote your health will also help you feel better.  A little physical activity,
for example, can help relieve fatigue and anxiety as it builds strength and
keeps your weight down.

Once you've finished treatment, having a healthy lifestyle will not only lower
the risk for recurrence, it will contribute to your overall health and well-being.
Heart disease is a special concern after breast cancer treatment, and all of
the lifestyle changes that lower breast cancer risk also protect against heart
disease.

Treat yourself to organic fruits and vegetables in season -- from a farmer's
market, if possible, to get local produce at its peak.  Find physical activity you
enjoy -- and friends to enjoy it with you.

Stay well
!
